Correção laparoscópica de hérnia pleuroperitoneal em cão
Abstract
Hérnias diafragmáticas pleuroperitoneais, ou verdadeiras, são anomalias congênitas do desenvolvimento diafragmático e tem rara ocorrência em cães, gatos e humanos. O único tratamento para hérnias diafragmáticas é cirúrgico independentemente de sua etiologia ser traumática ou congênita. A vídeocirurgia tem se mostrado segura e eficaz no diagnóstico deste tipo de afecção uma vez que nos exames de diagnóstico por imagem o conteúdo herniado pode se confundir com massas pulmonares. Também tem se mostrado confiável no tratamento deste tipo de anomalia contando com as vantagens dos procedimentos minimamente invasivos como redução do trauma, do período de convalescença e das complicações pós-operatórias. O objetivo deste relato é contribuir com uma técnica de correção de hérnia pleuroperitoneal em cão utilizando implante sintético de malha de polipropileno.
