Morbidade hospitalar de idosos decorrentes dos grupos prevalentes de doenças crônicas não transmissíveis nos estados brasileiros
Abstract
Introdução: Na realidade brasileira, os idosos emergem com a sua maior presença e participação pelo atendimento às múltiplas demandas em saúde e no campo da previdência e assistência social. Destaca-se a iniciativa brasileira ao elaborar o Plano de Ações Estratégicas de Enfrentamento das Doenças Crônicas Não Transmissíveis (PDCNT), 2011-2022, o qual prioriza as ações e investimentos necessários para preparar o país a enfrentar e deter as DCNT. Objetivo: Objetivou-se verificar a prevalência da morbidade hospitalar de idosos, acometidos por DCNT (doenças cardiovasculares, neoplasias, diabetes e pneumonia) em hospitais do SUS, nos estados brasileiros. Metodologia: pesquisa quantitativa, descritiva e documental, que utilizou a fonte de dados do Sistema Único de Saúde (DATASUS), referentes às regiões brasileiras, considerando o número de casos de internações hospitalares, por neoplasias malignas e doenças cardiovasculares, nos estados brasileiros, entre 2010 a 2012. Considerou-se idosa toda pessoa com 60 anos ou mais, sendo os estratos de idades divididos em 60 a 69 anos e 70 anos e mais. Resultados: a população idosa entre 60 a 69 anos, acometida por neoplasias obtiveram acréscimo percentuais de 2010 a 2012, as doenças cardiovasculares foram prevalentes em idosos na região sudeste 43% (em 2012), a diabetes aumentou o percentual em idosos de todas as regiões e a pneumonia mostrou-se prevalente em idosos (70 anos ou mais), independente da região. Conclusão: Evidenciou-se prevalência de internações de idosos pelas DCNT, na maioria das regiões, as quais apresentaram variações percentuais no decorrer dos anos.
