Monitoramento do impacto da visitação em unidades de conservação através da utilização de trilhas ecológicas
Abstract
A ação antrópica constante sobre o ambiente costeiro tem descaracterizado
esta zona, colocando em risco a sobrevivência de muitas espécies. Atualmente as
áreas protegidas na forma de unidades de conservação são uma ferramenta eficaz
para a conservação da biodiversidade. Outro esforço na busca pela preservação é a
utilização da educação ambiental como instrumento básico para sensibilização. O
município de Torres, é contemplado por uma unidade de conservação nacional, uma
área de preservação estadual, e um parque municipal chamado Parque da Guarita.
Mas não basta ter um sistema de áreas de preservação abrangente se não houver
preocupação em conciliar a conservação da natureza e o uso público destas áreas.
Para garantir que o uso público da unidade não comprometa as comunidades
naturais, um bom planejamento, monitoramento e atividades de sensibilização
ambiental são fundamentais. A utilização de trilhas interpretativas pode ser usada
para trabalhar a sensibilização ambiental nos visitantes e garantir aliados na busca
pela preservação. O objetivo principal deste projeto é contribuir com a revitalização
do Parque da Guarita através da avaliação e monitoramento das condições de uma
das oito trilhas de interpretação ambiental. Verificou-se que a trilha do Paredão, de
fácil acesso e utilização apresenta impactos significativos de excesso de uso. Desta
forma, as condições encontradas para cada indicador verificado na trilha será
utilizado como parâmetro das condições ambientais, e a trilha será utilizada como
controle do impacto da visitação. Desta maneira, será possível verificar a efetividade
dos programas de sensibilização utilizados pelo parque.
