Abstract
Temos como fã quem consome o máximo que consegue de sua franquia predileta. Através desse Estudo de Caso, entendemos como o consumo de uma mídia específica dentro da franquia, os livros, de Doctor Who aprimora a experiência do fã. O uso do livro não é novidade dentro das franquias, porém com Doctor Who, o caminho feito foi o oposto do usual, a franquia saiu da TV e atingiu o mercado literário. Conceituando fã e a experiência de consumo, conseguimos embasamento para a interpretação dos dados. A partir disso, utilizamos entrevistas em profundidade com os fãs desta franquia para entender suas experiências de consumo e como a literatura relacionada à série se encaixa e contribui para a plenitude dessa experiência.
