Adenocarcinoma pancreático hialinizante associado à síndrome PPP em cão: relato de caso
Abstract
Neoplasias do pâncreas exócrino são raras em cães e gatos, sendo os carcinomas as mais comuns. O adenocarcinoma pancreático tem comportamento biológico agressivo e em geral está amplamente disseminado no momento do diagnóstico. Na maioria dos casos se manifesta de forma subclínica. O subtipo histológico hialinizante foi descrito recentemente e parece ter menor propensão ao desenvolvimento de metástases precoces e esta associado a maior período de sobrevida. As manifestações extraviscerais das alterações pancreáticas são bem conhecidas na medicina humana, especialmente aquelas associadas à paniculite, que estão presentes em menos de 3% dos casos. Com menos frequência, existe a associação com a poliartrite, definida atualmente na literatura como síndrome PPP, cuja ocorrência em humanos é em menos de 1% dos casos. Na medicina veterinária, pouquíssimos relatos têm associado desordens pancreáticas, inflamatórias ou neoplásicas, com essas manifestações sistêmicas. Neste trabalho é apresentado um caso de adenocarcinoma pancreático hialinizante como fonte causadora de necrose gordurosa que leva a paniculite e poliartrite.
