O papel do diretor na construção de uma escola pública democrática
Abstract
Este estudo tem como objetivo discutir o papel do diretor enquanto gestor da escola pública, bem como sua atuação protagonista na construção de uma escola baseada na participação, coletividade e autonomia. Trata-se de uma pesquisa bibliográfica com abordagem qualitativa, fundamentada, entre outros, nos autores Heloísa Lück (2005; 2006; 2011) e Vitor Paro (2003; 2010; 2015). Como resultado, o estudo demonstrou que o cumprimento das diretrizes legais não é suficiente para que a gestão escolar seja de fato democrática, pois, em muitos casos, apesar de a escolha da equipe diretiva ser democrática, ainda percebe-se uma gestão centrada no diretor, com pouca abertura à participação de todos. Ademais, demonstrou a necessidade de o diretor ser um facilitador/mediador das relações, que estimule o diálogo e a participação de todos os segmentos, de modo que o grupo crie uma nova cultura, alicerçada nos princípios democráticos. Assim, conclui-se que é preciso retomar diálogos, aprofundando e investigando a temática sobre o papel do diretor, bem como entender e valorizar a formação continuada como uma possibilidade de fazer correlações com a realidade, estimar perspectivas pessoais e riscos para implantação de novas aprendizagens, além de exercitar a criatividade ao planejar ações de inovação de procedimentos para uma gestão mais participativa.
