dc.description.abstract | This paper presents the development of a class with a different approach than normally use the spatial geometry classes. In first moment a questionnaire was applied to know the students' prior knowledge. The class began calculating the volume of the classroom trash after was instigated students confeccionarem on A4 paper a model of this trash, using concepts of scale. The next moment was raised questioning the lateral area of a cylinder interferes or not in volume, for this was taken the model of trash and the length of the circumference was transformed into height and vice versa, this activity found that the lateral area does not interfere in volume, which interferes is the base area and the cylinder height. It has also built a cone using the same base of the cylinder model. To construct knowledge with students sawdust was used and it was found that to fill the cylinder sawdust were taken three cones, so it was deduced that the volume of a cone is a third of the volume of a cylinder. In how the class was taught the students could draw their own conclusions linking them to their daily lives, contributing to effective learning. After class answered a new questionnaire on the content worked, so it was possible to see that knowledge was absorbed by the students clearly, because of the studied concepts. | eng |
