O empoderamento familiar a partir das hortas orgânicas: o caso do assentamento Filhos de Sepé - Viamão/RS
Abstract
A partir de uma análise da estrutura fundiária brasileira, percebe-se que existe grande concentração de terra e renda no meio rural do país. Em contraponto a esta situação, os movimentos sociais de luta pela terra buscam alternativas que possibilitem a reprodução da agricultura familiar através dos assentamentos de Reforma Agrária. Contudo, as famílias assentadas nem sempre alcançam autonomia suficiente para melhorar sua qualidade de vida. Este trabalho traz, nesse sentido, uma análise acerca da organização produtiva adotada pelo movimento e pelas famílias assentadas na busca de empoderamento e sustentabilidade socioambiental. Para tanto, foi construído um referencial teórico sobre os temas tratados com o intuito de auxiliar as análises dos dados coletados nos trabalhos de campo, a partir de observações diretas, conversas informais e entrevistas semiestruturadas, além da vivência durante dois anos no tempo-comunidade desta especialização. Percebeu-se que a atividade produtiva das hortas orgânicas, engendradas pela organização produtiva das famílias assentadas vem contribuindo para o seu empoderamento, possibilitando melhor qualidade de vida e inserção social em diferentes esferas. O trabalho evidencia diferentes perspectivas de organização socioprodutiva familiar, assim como formas de empoderamento diferenciadas.
