Acesso e permanência no ensino médio de estudantes do bairro Lorenzi - Santa Maria/RS: reflexões sobre a importância da gestão educacional
Abstract
A presente pesquisa possui como objetivo entender o sentido atribuído ao Ensino Médio pelos alunos moradores do Bairro Lorenzi, localizada em Santa Maria/RS, juntamente identificar quais as propostas da 8ª Coordenadoria de Educação para garantir o acesso e a permanência desses alunos/moradores do Bairro Lorenzi no Ensino Médio. A pesquisa é de caráter qualitativo e para que os resultados fossem satisfatórios, optou-se pela entrevista semiestruturada. Foram entrevistados alunos que concluíram seus estudos na E.M.E.F. CAIC “Luizinho de Grandi”, durante os anos de 2015, 2016 e 2017 e que estão estudando, atualmente, no Instituto Estadual Luís Guilherme do Prado Veppo, ambas localizadas na zona Sul de Santa Maria/RS. Os resultados nos mostram que o sentido atribuído ao Ensino Médio é pela oportunidade de obter maiores conhecimentos e assim prepara-los para a vida. A influência em relação as suas escolhas educacionais, é oriunda da família, portanto o seu meio social, possui um peso na permanência destes na escola. O papel da escola para estes alunos é significativo e com isso, passa a ter sentido, pois vislumbram um futuro melhor com os conhecimentos adquiridos nestes espaços e esta condição poderá permitir uma transformação em suas vidas. A Gestão Educacional, retratada através da 8ª CRE, demostrou que embora existam leis que amparem o acesso e permanência dos jovens no Ensino Médio, ainda é pouco o que fazem para garantir este direito. Fica evidente, assim, a necessidade da escola juntamente com a sua comunidade escolar refletir sobre o sentido do Ensino Médio para os seus alunos. A participação dos sujeitos envolvidos no processo educacional é de extrema importância para que tenhamos uma educação de qualidade e democrática.
