Formação profissional para atuação com paciente sem possibilidade terapêutica na atenção básica
Abstract
O presente estudo discute a formação de profissionais da rede básica de saúde na atuação com
pacientes oncológicos sem possibilidades terapêuticas, tendo em vista a demanda apresentada
no campo da saúde em relação aos cuidados de pacientes oncológicos terminais e o desafio
para a estruturação desta linha de cuidado na busca pela integralidade da atenção. A pesquisa
tratou-se de um estudo qualitativo, realizado através de entrevistas com profissionais de saúde
da região oeste de Santa Maria, RS e Unidade de Pronto de Atendimento. Foram entrevistados
85 profissionais de saúde. Percebeu-se que os profissionais da rede de atenção básica não se
sentem qualificados para atender os pacientes oncológico sem possibilidade terapêutica,
devido à formação profissional e a qualificação para o trabalho não atenderem esta demanda,
concluindo que os cursos de graduação e de formação de profissionais da saúde, bem como os
gestores através das capacitações na rede de atenção básica, devem atentar para essa nova
necessidade no campo da saúde.
