A dança nas aulas de educação física dos anos iniciais do ensino fundamental

Abstract

There are many benefits of dance for individuals, both psychological as cognitive and motor, but the school dance is basically used in festive events. Dance is content of Physical Education and is included in the content block of National Curriculum Standards of Physical Education, however few professionals feel prepared to use it in their classes. The objective is through this study highlight some aspects concerning the teaching of dance by physical education teachers who work in the early years of elementary school, trying to identify their conceptions, their pedagogical guidelines and practices in relation to dance. For such purposes were achieved a qualitative research was conducted, and involved six physical education teachers who teach in the early years of elementary school, and four schools of the Municipal Education Sapiranga/RS. The results show that the majority of teachers surveyed do not develop the dance content, nor are pedagogical guidance on the same, but against starting, consider dance an important element in the training of school. It is evident, therefore, the need for new and better proposals for teaching this content in Physical Education in the early years of elementary school.
