Influência da associação de insuficiência cardíaca e apneia do sono sobre a função cognitiva e aprendizado motor
Abstract
Objetivo: verificar a influência da associação de insuficiência cardíaca (IC) e apneia do sono (AS) sobre a função cognitiva e aprendizado motor. Método: participaram do estudo 32 indivíduos, destes 17 (idade: 58,5 ± 7,1 anos; sexo: 14M/3F) apresentaram IC+AS, 6 IC (idade: 53,3 ± 8,2 anos; sexo: 2M/4F) e 9 saudáveis (idade: 55,9 ± 6,9 anos, sexo: 6M/3F). Foram avaliadas a função cognitiva global, por meio do Mini Exame do Estado Mental (MEEM), o aprendizado motor, através de uma sequência de movimentos digitais e, a função executiva e a atenção sustentada e alternada pelo Trail Making Test parte A e B (TMTA e TMTB). Resultados: os indivíduos com IC+AS apresentaram comprometimento cognitivo comparado ao grupo IC. Uma correlação negativa foi encontrada entre Índice de Apneia-Hipopneia (IAH) e o escore do MEEM (r= -0,449; p= 0,032) e uma correlação positiva foi encontrada entre o IAH e o tempo de execução do teste de aprendizado motor (r= 0,549; p= 0,015) no grupo IC+AS e IC. Não houve diferença significativa entre IC e saudáveis na função cognitiva, aprendizado motor, função executiva e atenção. Conclusão: esse estudo indica que a IC associada à AS influencia negativamente a função cognitiva e execução motora. Dessa forma, salienta-se a importância de instituir métodos de rastreamento de distúrbios do sono na população com IC.
