A educação ambiental no ensino médio, produção de lixo e reciclagem na turma do segundo ano da Escola Estadual Rocha Pombo
Abstract
A pesquisa desenvolvida como trabalho de conclusão no curso de pós graduação em Educação Ambiental EAD da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM), buscou investigar o conhecimento sobre a Educação Ambiental e reciclagem, dos alunos do ensino médio da Escola Estadual de Ensino Médio Rocha Pombo, localizada no município de Crissiumal-RS. A participação no questionário aplicado aos estudantes das turmas do 1º e 2º anos do ensino médio, contou com 33 alunos, sendo 21 do primeiro e 12 do segundo ano. Esse questionário teve por objetivo promover a construção de uma consciência critica dos alunos com o meio e sua preservação. As respostas deles contribuíram para o desenvolvimento dessa pesquisa. Na análise das respostas foi possível identificar que há conhecimento sobre a temática, apenas alguns termos que abrangem a Educação Ambiental eram desconhecidos mas o seu significado não. Depois do questionário, os alunos do segundo ano começaram a recolher o lixo que produziam durante as aulas, papeis para que pudesse ser feita a reciclagem do mesmo, durante todo o mês de agosto foi recolhido esse material, e posteriormente parte dele foi reciclado. Momentos de debate acerca da questão do consumismo e da sustentabilidade se fizeram necessários para compreenderem o sistema capitalista, a necessidade de entender o que é necessário, e buscar informações para poder definir o que realmente é necessário e o que são produtos supérfluos. Ao final desse processo um novo questionário foi realizado, contendo três perguntas abertas, para verificar se as atividades pedagógicas tiveram efeito esperado. Diante disso, foi possível constatar que houve aprendizado, que as atividades teóricas e praticas devem ser permanentes, pois a educação ambiental é um processo de reeducação, de mudanças de atitudes, e constâncias.
