Automutilação e suicídio: acolhimento e escuta no processo de prevenção e promoção da saúde com adolescentes
Abstract
O estudo teve como objetivo relatar as intervenções realizadas com os grupos de adolescentes de uma escola do interior do estado do Rio Grande do Sul, abordando a temática de automutilação e prevenção do suicídio na adolescência através do desenvolvimento do projeto guarda-chuva Projeto Rubi: um estudo sobre o suicídio e automutilação entre adolescentes. A ideia inicial para a criação do projeto foi de oferecer aos residentes uma atuação externa ao do ambiente hospitalar; assim como de provocar discussões no meio escolar como medidas preventivas e despertar os serviços de saúde, comunidade escolar, gestores e trabalhadores tendo em vista as alarmantes estimativas para os próximos anos. Receberam intervenções do projeto de extensão doze turmas, de sétimo, oitavo e nono ano. Quarenta e seis adolescentes necessitaram acolhimento e atendimento individualizado com a equipe multiprofissional, dos quais, dez necessitaram de encaminhamento para atendimento especializado com psicólogo, psiquiatra ou ambos, e houve uma internação por tentativa de suicídio. Já do projeto de pesquisa participaram quarenta e três alunos, destes, vinte e três eram provenientes de turmas que receberam intervenções de grupo e vinte não conheciam o projeto. O extenso número de adolescentes que apresentaram sintomas de sofrimento mental mostra que tratar de temas como esses em ambiente escolar é fundamental, e enquanto residência, não se consegue trabalhar com esse público isoladamente. Por isso, busca-se parceiros para encaminhamentos de alunos e sugere-se que o mesmo trabalho seja realizado em outras escolas do município, com parcerias entre secretaria de saúde, de educação e serviço disponíveis.
