Luto e pandemia: implicações para a saúde mental e as contribuições da atenção primária à saúde
Abstract
Em março de 2020 a Organização Mundial de Saúde declarou situação pandemia por conta do novo coronavírus, agente causador da doença COVID-19 relacionado a síndrome respiratória aguda grave (SARS-COV-2). Uma das consequências da pandemia é o acarretamento de um grande número de mortes que suscita em um expressivo número de pessoas em processo de luto, além da dor dos indivíduos enlutados pela perda do seu ente querido, a pandemia traz estressores adicionais ao processo de luto, através das restrições aos rituais fúnebres impostas para tentar conter a transmissão do novo coronavírus, reduzindo o tempo e ao número de participantes no funeral, não permitindo a aproximação e visualização do ente querido que são ações importantes para despedida; as redes sociais e afetivas que se formam principalmente a partir da cerimônia fúnebre e que ajudam e apoiam o enlutado a passar por esse momento doloroso, fica comprometida pelo distanciamento social, podendo trazer ao enlutado uma sensação de solidão e abandono. Por meio de um estudo qualitativo de caráter descritivo exploratório realizado a partir de um formulário virtual destinado as pessoas enlutadas que perderam um ente querido por COVID-19, buscou- se através da experiência dos enlutados categorizar os mediadores do processo de luto implicados pela situação de pandemia no país com o objetivo compreender o luto no contexto da pandemia, suas implicações para a saúde mental e discutindo contribuições da atenção primária à saúde no acolhimento e apoio aos indivíduos enlutados pela COVID-19 para o direcionamento dos usuários enlutados às tarefas do luto. Os atravessamentos causados pela pandemia implicam diretamente nos mediadores do luto podendo interferir de forma negativa nas tarefas do luto, trazendo assim implicações para a saúde mental dos indivíduos enlutados e a atenção primária à saúde, por sua atuação territorial, bem como por suas características essenciais de acesso aberto e cuidado longitudinal se apresenta como cenário potencial para lidar com as consequências da pandemia, entre elas a do luto vivido por aqueles que perderam seus entes queridos por COVID-19, acolhendo a apoiando os indivíduos enlutados, prevenindo complicações para o processo de luto e sua patologização.
