Os tipos de riscos e a política de administração de riscos em fundos de investimento em ações: um estudo de caso do fundo XP Investor FIA (2006-2020)
Abstract
O mercado de capitais é um determinante de fundamental importância ao
desenvolvimento de uma economia, e uma das formas de poder acessá-lo é
através de fundos de investimento em ações. Desta forma, este trabalho tem o
objetivo de averiguar quais os tipos de riscos que se faz presente no mercado de
capitais brasileiro, assim como a política de gestão de riscos em fundos de
investimento em ações, utilizando como estudo de caso o fundo XP Investor, da
XP Gestão de Recursos. Realizou-se uma análise de quais são os principais tipos
de riscos que um investidor está exposto ao realizar o investimento do seu capital
através de um fundo de investimento e, também acerca de quais os métodos que
os fundos de investimentos utilizam para diminuir os riscos dos quais está
exposto. O trabalho inicia com uma revisão de literatura onde explora de forma
breve os diferentes tipos de riscos e as metodologias empregadas como forma
de política de administração dos riscos do fundo. O segundo passo foi incluir
uma introdução sobre o mercado financeiro e o mercado de capitais. Depois
disso, foi desenvolvido um estudo sobre fundos de investimento e riscos. Para
atingir o objetivo deste estudo, optou-se por analisar o regulamento e o
prospecto do fundo que foi o estudo de caso. O resultado deste estudo nos
permitiu constatar que os métodos de Value At Risk e o teste de estresse
representam ferramentas importantes para o controle de risco de qualquer fundo,
mas que ao mesmo tempo, também há diversos outros métodos de gestão tão
bons quanto ou até mais eficientes que devem ser usados para reduzir a potencial
volatilidade de um fundo.
