Análise da preferência e compreensão dos diferentes rótulos nutricionais por consumidores
Abstract
A rotulagem nutricional é um instrumento utilizado para que os consumidores
conheçam os nutrientes presentes nos alimentos, auxiliando-os em escolhas
alimentares mais saudáveis. O objetivo desta pesquisa foi analisar a preferência e a
compreensão dos consumidores em relação a três diferentes modelos de rotulagem
nutricional frontal. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo, experimental e quali-quantitativo,
com 339 indivíduos maiores de idade de ambos os sexos. A pesquisa foi realizada
através de um questionário semiestruturado aplicado no Google Forms®, o qual,
continha perguntas sobre características sociodemográficas e questões que
avaliavam a preferência e a compreensão dos consumidores em relação a diferentes
rótulos nutricionais frontais: Rótulo do Semáforo, Guideline Daily Amount e o rótulo de
advertência aprovado recentemente no Brasil. Os resultados do estudo revelaram que
59,9% dos participantes costumam ler os rótulos nutricionais, já em relação às
informações e fatores que influenciam na hora da compra, 82,3% dos participantes
indicaram o prazo de validade, 85,5% preço e 69,9% sabor, enquanto que apenas
33,9% indicaram a tabela nutricional. Com relação ao conhecimento do rótulo de
advertência, apenas 21,5% dos participantes conheciam o novo modelo de rotulagem
frontal aprovado no Brasil. Apesar de 60,2% dos participantes indicarem preferência
pelo rótulo do semáforo, o rótulo de advertência foi o de mais fácil compreensão
quando o produto não era considerado saudável. Dessa forma, através de campanhas
de divulgação realizadas entre a população, quando o rótulo de advertência passar a
vigorar, acredita-se que os indivíduos tenham melhor compreensão da informação
nutricional e realizem escolhas alimentares mais saudáveis.
