Avaliação do comportamento resiliente de um cascalho laterítico do Mato Grosso empregado em estrutura de pavimento dimensionado pelo MeDiNa
Abstract
O carregamento dos veículos que solicitam os pavimentos, bem como a frequência e a duração de suas cargas passam por intensas mudanças, demandando melhor desempenho dos materiais constituintes de uma estrutura rodoviária. Nesse contexto, a elaboração de um novo método de dimensionamento nacional de pavimentos se torna fundamental no Brasil, visto que o atual método não abrange os mecanismos de ruptura mais observados no país. Este estudo buscou analisar o comportamento resiliente de um solo mato-grossense, conhecido como cascalho laterítico que possui textura granular. Esse material é amplamente utilizado como camada de pavimento e tende a se comportar satisfatoriamente. O material foi compactado na energia intermediária e ensaiado para o módulo de resiliência (MR). O MR do solo estudado apresentou valor médio elevado, na ordem dos 330 MPa, demonstrando uma boa capacidade de suporte e potencial emprego como camada de base de pavimentos locais. Quando comparado com outra solução corriqueiramente utilizada, observou-se que uma pequena desvantagem do solo do presente estudo frente ao rompimento do pavimento por fadiga.
