Determinantes das finanças comportamentais: um estudo de caso no município de Caibaté/RS
Abstract
Atualmente, pesquisadores da área de finanças apontam diversos fatores, tanto racionais, quanto irracionais, como diretamente influenciáveis nas decisões financeiras dos indivíduos. Sob a ótica das Finanças Comportamentais, o presente estudo tem como objetivo identificar e avaliar os fatores que influenciam o comportamento financeiro da população de Caibaté, RS, para poupar ou buscar empréstimos junto a instituições financeiras no ano de 2013. Foi avaliado o perfil socioeconômico da população, identificados os principais fatores que geram propensão a poupar ou tomar empréstimos nos indivíduos, bem como seu nível de conhecimento sobre educação financeira e também sua capacidade em avaliar tomadas de decisões financeiras. Desenvolveu-se uma pesquisa descritiva e bibliográfica sobre o tema, além de um estudo de caso realizado no município. Identificou-se uma população mais propensa a poupar e, dentre os fatores determinantes nas Finanças Comportamentais, destacam-se como principais influenciadores da população do município, tanto para poupar quanto para tomar empréstimos: o nível de educação financeira, a dissonância cognitiva, o trabalho, a cultura, a renda, os valores e as variáveis demográficas. O fator renda demonstrou relevância significativa para a parcela dos poupadores, e o arrependimento foi identificado como fator determinante da preferência pela poupança, como investimento mais recorrente. Em particular aos tomadores de empréstimos destaca-se o excesso de confiança. Junto ao estudo de caso realizado, verifica-se que o resultado encontrado corrobora com a Teoria das Finanças Comportamentais em diversos aspectos, como o comportamento distinto dos indivíduos em certas situações do mercado financeiro, influenciado diretamente pelos fatores determinantes dessa teoria.
