Detecção de desbalanceamento de massa entre pás de aerogerador utilizando sinais elétricos de um gerador síncrono de imãs permanentes aplicados a métodos de aprendizagem de máquina
Abstract
A produção de energia elétrica através dos ventos é cada vez mais comum, tendo em vista
que o preço de produção da energia eólica se aproxima do preço dos métodos convencionais
de geração. A expectativa de vida útil de uma turbina ao ser instalada é tipicamente
de 20 anos, no entanto, falhas podem acontecer muito antes desse tempo, devido a problemas
em diferentes componentes (principalmente engrenagens, pás e sistemas elétricos).
Detectar e evitar que o aerogerador opere em condições danosas são de suma importância,
pois assim se diminui o tempo de parada para manutenção ou mesmo se evita que
sofra uma falha catastrófica, que pode por fim a operação de uma turbina eólica. Muitas
das falhas nos componentes podem ser causadas por desbalanceamento do rotor de um
aerogerador, já que o desbalanceamento causa elevadas cargas mecânicas que se distribuem
através de toda a estrutura. Nesse trabalho, métodos de aprendizado de máquina
são utilizados para detectar o desbalanceamento de massa nas pás de um aerogerador.
Os dados utilizados para alimentar os algoritmos de aprendizado de máquina são obtidos
através do framework Turbsim/FAST/Simulink, responsável por simular as dinâmicas de
um aerogerador de 1,5 MW, em operação com e sem desbalanceamento de massa das pás.
Os parâmetros elétricos obtidos do gerador síncrono de imãs permanentes do aerogerador
permitem estimar a velocidade de rotação do rotor, e esse dado é aplicado aos métodos
de aprendizado de máquina. O uso de simulações numéricas das dinâmicas acopladas de
aerogeradores e algoritmos de aprendizado de máquina apresentados nesse trabalho se
demonstrou um método válido para aprimorar a produção de energia eólica, reduzindo
tempos de parada devido a manutenção necessária a falhas causadas (ou catalizadas) pelo
desbalanceamento de massa, permitindo programar manutenções de maneira ótima, sendo
esses fatores relevantes para diminuir o LCOE da energia eólica.
