Desafios de reconhecer-se na profissão professor: um estudo de caso sobre a evasão em um curso de formação de professores
Abstract
O estudo refere-se a temática da evasão no contexto do curso de
Pedagogia diurno da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria. Com essa pesquisa
pretendeu-se mostrar os aspectos que influenciam a evasão do curso, identificando
os principais fatores da evasão dos discentes da turma 12/2015. Para tal, foi preciso
entender como esse fenômeno interfere nos itinerários formativos dos discentes,
fenômeno esse que está intimamente relacionado, muitas vezes, com o
desconhecimento da profissão de professor e, portanto, com a ausência de uma
identidade enquanto estudante com o Projeto Pedagógico do Curso (PPC). Um outro
aspecto também significativo é que o ingresso em um curso de graduação exige dos
estudantes a percepção da dinâmica da ‘cidade universitária’ e, nesse sentido,
entender que os obstáculos iniciais podem ser superados à medida que é percebido
a importância de conhecer os dispositivos que o curso dispõe para dirimir as
dificuldades encontradas. Para responder a essas questões buscou-se
metodologicamente realizar o estudo a partir da análise bibliográfica sobre a temática
da evasão no ensino superior, juntamente com a análise documental do Projeto
Pedagógico do Curso de Pedagogia (2007) e as Diretrizes para Formação de
Professores. As ferramentas: questionários estruturados serviram de base para o
presente estudo, contando com a participação e contribuição dos acadêmicos do ano
2015 e da gestão do Curso. Assim, conclui-se que o fenômeno da evasão se deve a
diversas e complexas causas, além do não se reconhecer como professora.
