Avaliação da concentração de carbono orgânico em função do uso do solo no bioma pampa
Abstract
As alterações que os solos sofrem pela implementação de monoculturas, prejudicam o balanço ecológico dos nutrientes, entre eles o carbono, o que reduz a produtividade alimentar. Além disso, as modificações do solo alteram os ciclos biogeoquímicos, provocando desequilíbrio no ecossistema. O objetivo deste trabalho foi analisar o sequestro de carbono do solo, no bioma Pampa, ao verificar indicadores que afetam o teor de carbono. Para tanto, foram aferidas as alterações do teor de carbono em uma área de estudo, com coberturas vegetais distintas e em três faixas de profundidade (0-10 cm, 10-20 cm e 20-30cm). Os usos do solo estudados no trabalho foram mata nativa, banhado, plantação de aveia e soja e área de recuperação. Portanto, foi determinado o teor de carbono no solo por uma adaptação do Método de Yeomans & Bremner. Ademais, com intuito de comparar estatisticamente o estudo, foi realizado o Método de Scott-Knott. Através das análises foi possível verificar que o carbono do solo decresce conforme o aumento da profundidade, para todas as coberturas. Além disso, a cobertura de solo que apresentou maior conteúdo de carbono orgânico foi o banhado, com 60,24 gCO/kg de solo, entre 0 e 10 cm. Em contrapartida, a plantação de soja e aveia obteve o menor resultado, com 3,46 gCO/kg solo, entre 20 e 30 cm. O estudo aponta que apesar da profundidade ser um fator que determine e diferencie o teor de carbono contido, os diferentes usos apresentados contribuem de forma mais incisiva no teor de carbono orgânico presente nos solos. Ao se comparar a área de cultivo e de recuperação ambiental, evidencia-se que apesar das diferenças do teor de carbono não serem significativas, estatisticamente, existe uma evolução no teor de carbono retido no solo enquanto a regeneração do ambiente local. Os resultados evidenciam que a recuperação dos solos degradados promove o aumento da concentração de carbono no solo. Todos os pontos de coleta apresentam maior teor de carbono nas suas camadas mais superficiais e decrescem conforme a profundidade aumenta. O uso do solo se mostrou como o fator de maior interferência do carbono orgânico no solo estudado.
