Suicídio infantil na visão de profissionais da psicologia e da educação
Abstract
O suicídio é um grave problema de saúde pública no Brasil devido às altas taxas de
tentativas e de mortalidade, além da complexidade que o suicídio carrega. Sendo
assim, percebeu-se uma lacuna a respeito das especificidades do suicídio infantil,
devido a ser a faixa etária com menor incidência comparada às outras. Desse modo,
reconhece-se a importância ao se tratar dessa temática para compreender mais
suas particularidades, tendo em vista inconformidades nos dados e publicações
escassas acerca do tema. Esta pesquisa qualitativa objetiva esclarecer sobre o
suicídio infantil na visão de profissionais da Psicologia e da Educação, que se
depararam com pelo menos um caso de criança que tentou suicídio. Para isso,
foram realizadas três entrevistas com psicólogas e três com profissionais
educacionais. A análise dos dados é por meio da Análise de Conteúdo de Bardin, e
os resultados foram divididos entre três categorias: o contexto da criança suicida, o
manejo das profissionais após tentativa de suicídio e os desafios vivenciados pelas
profissionais no cenário do suicídio infantil. Foram encontrados aspectos que
corroboram a literatura, como os fatores familiares, transtornos psiquiátricos e
influência midiática estarem associados ao risco de suicídio. Conclui-se que a
temática é extremamente relevante e necessita de mais espaço nos estudos sobre
suicídio para obter informações concretas a respeito da realidade do suicídio infantil
no Brasil, a fim de desenvolver políticas públicas eficazes na prevenção do suicídio
destinadas ao público infantil.
