Plataforma de realidade virtual para desenvolvimento e teste de aplicações na área de interação social humano-robô
Abstract
A simulação elimina a possibilidade de danos a sensores, motores e à estrutura física de
um robô real, permitindo que testes de aplicações robóticas sejam realizados de forma rápida e
econômica, sem estar sujeito a erros mecânicos ou eletrônicos. A simulação através da realidade
virtual (VR) oferece uma experiência mais imersiva ao fornecer melhores pistas visuais dos
ambientes, tornando-se uma alternativa atraente para interagir com robôs simulados. Essa
imersão é crucial, principalmente quando se trata de robôs sociais, uma subárea do campo de
interação humano-robô (IHR). O uso generalizado de robôs na vida diária depende do IHR. No
futuro, os robôs poderão interagir efetivamente com as pessoas para realizar uma variedade
de tarefas na civilização humana. É essencial que sejam desenvolvidas interfaces simples e
compreensíveis para robôs à medida que eles começam a proliferar no espaço de trabalho pessoal.
Devido a isso, neste estudo desenvolveu-se uma plataforma de robótica através de simulação VR,
com ferramentas e pacotes prontos para uso para aprimorar a pesquisa e o desenvolvimento de
aplicações em IHR social. Toda a interface VR é um projeto de código aberto, onde os testes
podem ser realizados em um ambiente imersivo sem a necessidade de um robô físico.
