Desafios na comunicação entre paciente, familiares/cuidadores e profissionais da saúde em cuidados paliativos: revisão integrativa
Abstract
Os Cuidados Paliativos configuram um conjunto de práticas direcionadas ao
paciente que apresenta uma doença ameaçadora de vida e visa proporcionar
conforto e qualidade de vida. No Brasil, essa ainda apresenta fragilidades para ser
implementada. Objetivo: Investigar os desafios na comunicação entre pacientes,
familiares/cuidadores e profissionais da saúde em cuidados paliativos. Método:
Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa, que foi realizada nas bases de dados Lilacs,
Medline e Scielo por meio de duas estratégias de busca com a combinação dos
descritores: “Cuidados Paliativos”, “Comunicação” e “Desafios”; e “Cuidados
Paliativos”, “Desafios” e “Adulto”. Foram incluídos artigos na íntegra, publicados em
português, inglês e espanhol, no período entre 2012 e 2022. Resultados: Foram
encontrados 68 artigos disponíveis, após etapa de seleção de artigos, 34 foram
excluídos por estarem duplicados, e outros 12, por não terem relação com a
temática, assim, restou 23 artigos para análise. Identificou-se como dificuldades
entre os pacientes a implementação dos cuidados paliativos e a sua compreensão,
as dificuldades encontradas pela família/cuidadores relacionaram-se a aplicação dos
cuidados paliativos, e sobre as encontradas pelos profissionais da saúde,evidenciouse dificuldades na aplicação dos cuidados paliativos relacionados ao despreparo, e a
adesão à cultura desses cuidados nos serviços. Conclusão: Os desafios na
comunicação sobre os cuidados paliativos por parte de pacientes e
familiares/cuidadores pode ser consequência do pouco preparo de profissionais da
saúde para orientá-los.
