Potencial de um sistema de eletrocoagulação-flotação para o pré-tratamento e reciclo da água de lavagem de filtros em uma estação de tratamento de água
Abstract
A produção de água potável nas estações de tratamento de água (ETA) de ciclo convencional completo gera águas residuárias na operação de lavagem de filtros, os quais são de difícil manejo e disposição, requerendo a implantação de sistemas de tratamento que visem o seu melhor aproveitamento. Nesse cenário, o objetivo deste Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso foi avaliar o pré-tratamento da água de lavagem dos filtros (ALF) de uma ETA do tipo ciclo completo, visando reuso, por meio da aplicação de um sistema de eletrocoagulação-flotação (ECF). O sistema utilizado no estudo foi constituído de um reator de eletrocoagulação associado com um floculador tubular helicoidal (FTH) (conforme depósito de patente de invenção nº BR 10 2021 008218-6) e operado com uma vazão de 0,8 L/min. O reator de eletrocoagulação era constituído de um tubo de acrílico, com 3,6 cm de diâmetro e 35,5 cm de altura, com 8 eletrodos de alumínio (29 cm de altura, 8 cm de largura e 0,05 cm de espessura), com uma distância de 0,3 cm entre eles e conectado a uma fonte de alimentação de corrente contínua. O diâmetro das unidades anelares utilizada no FTH foi 60 mm e o diâmetro da tubulação do FTH de 9 mm. Para a determinação das melhores condições de tratamento foi realizado um delineamento experimental do tipo composto central rotacional (DCCR)2², com as variáveis independentes pH inicial e concentração de alumínio. Os resultados mostraram que com a dosagem de 10 mg/L e pH 6 foi possível obter uma remoção de turbidez acima de 90%, atingindo uma turbidez final de 0,87 NTU, se enquadrando na USEPA (2002), decorrente disto pode-se concluir que o sistema ECF é uma técnica promissora no tratamento de água de lavagem de filtros.
