A influência da comunicação família-filho-escola no processo de desenvolvimento e aprendizagem do sujeito surdo
Abstract
O presente artigo aborda o tema da comunicação entre família ouvinte,
filho surdo e escola para surdos, e sua influência no desenvolvimento e
aprendizagem do sujeito surdo. O estudo tem como base teórica o enfoque
Sócio-antropológico da surdez, com algumas contribuições dos Estudos Culturais. A
pesquisa realizou-se no contexto da Escola Estadual de Educação Especial Reinaldo
Fernando Coser, de Santa Maria, RS, e envolveu famílias ouvintes de alunos surdos
que estudam nesta escola, bem como professores e instrutores de língua de sinais.
As pessoas surdas que estudam em uma escola para surdos, com caráter
sócio-antropológico, se comunicam através da língua de sinais, língua própria da
cultura surda, a qual é adequada às suas necessidades, já que se dá na modalidade
espaço-visual. A maioria dos pais das pessoas surdas é ouvinte, e sua língua se dá
em outra modalidade, a oral-auditiva. A partir disso, buscamos conhecer como a
comunicação entre a família ouvinte, o filho surdo e a escola para surdos influencia
no desenvolvimento e na aprendizagem do sujeito surdo. Acreditamos que o modo
como essa comunicação acontece manifesta influências diversificadas no
desenvolvimento e na aprendizagem do sujeito surdo.
