Abstract
Este artigo apresenta os resultados preliminares para o projeto do segmento espacial da missão EQUARS (Equatorial Atmosphere Research Satellite) do INPE (Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais), definidos no documento de revisão de definição da missão (MDR – sigla em inglês), segundo padrões da agência espacial européia - ESA. As cinco cargas úteis do satélite irão coletar dados para estudos e pesquisas sobre o clima espacial na região equatorial. São apresentados detalhes da órbita, do computador de bordo, das cargas úteis e do subsistema de suprimento de energia.
