Metamateriais aplicados ao aumento de ganho em antena Vivaldi
Abstract
Este Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso explora a aplicação de três configurações de metamateriais em uma antena Vivaldi, com a intenção de aumentar o ganho sem modificar a estrutura da antena. A antena Vivaldi em questão apresenta ranhuras em
formato de palmeiras para otimizar a largura de banda. A largura de banda almejada é de 2,2 GHz, operando na faixa de frequência de 4,9 GHz a 7,1 GHz, que é a faixa utilizada pelo WiFi 6. Os resultados de simulação mostram valores para os coeficientes de reflexão inferiores a -15 dB na largura de banda de 2,15 GHz ou 35,84% de banda fracionária e um ganho de 7,64 dBi. Três diferentes estruturas de metamateriais foram empregadas para aumentar o ganho e comparar as estruturas. No estudo das células unitárias, foram analisados os parâmetros de deslocamento de fase na onda de tensão incidente e o principal parâmetro de atraso de fase do metamaterial em relação ao um ângulo de incidência, para que possa converter uma onda cilíndrica gerada pela fonte em uma onda uniforme em uma onda uniforme na saída. As três estruturas de metamateriais, obtiveram um aumento de ganho para a primeira de 10,8 dBi, na segunda de 9,46 dBi e a terceira de 9,36 dBi na frequência de 6 GHz. Já a largura de banda das três estrutura foram de 1,93 GHz para a primeira, de 1,51 GHz para a segunda e 1,87 GHz para a terceira. Portanto os resultados indicam que todas as estruturas permitem um aumento no ganho da antena Vivaldi, mantendo a antena com uma banda ultra larga.
