Qualidade de vida relacionada a voz e deglutição de adultos e idosos

Introdução: As alterações em relação à deglutição e à voz geralmente resultam em
consequências na qualidade de vida dos indivíduos. O impacto dessas alterações
pode variar de acordo com as características pessoais e limitar a interação social,
familiar e profissional. Objetivo: Verificar e relacionar a autopercepção de qualidade
de vida relacionada a voz e deglutição de adultos e idosos. Método: Estudo
transversal e quantitativo, com preenchimento de questionários online. A amostra foi
de conveniência. Participaram 139 sujeitos, média de 50.91 anos de idade, sendo
101 homens e 38 mulheres. O questionário constava de perguntas relacionadas a
dados sociodemográficos e dos protocolos que avaliam a qualidade de vida
relacionada à voz (Qualidade de Vida em Voz e Escala de Desconforto do Trato
Vocal) e à deglutição (Quality of Life in Swallowing Disorders e Dysphagia Handicap
Índex). Análise estatística com teste Qui-quadrado, correlação de Pearson e teste t
de Welch (nível de significância<0.01). Resultados: Verificou-se elevada qualidade
de vida na amostra. Houve predomínio significativo de homens e de ausência de
queixas de voz ou deglutição. Homens tiveram melhor qualidade de vida em voz e
deglutição do que as mulheres; o relato de COVID-19 não interferiu na qualidade de
vida; a presença de queixas de voz influenciou os escores do Qualidade de Vida em
Voz; as queixas de deglutição influenciaram os escores do Dysphagia Handicap
Índex e do Quality of Life in Swallowing Disorders, e as queixas de voz e deglutição
influenciaram os resultados da Escala de Desconforto do Trato Vocal. Conclusão:
Neste grupo com predomínio de homens e com ausência de queixas de voz e/ou
deglutição, a qualidade de vida mostrou-se elevada. Os instrumentos de
autoavaliação de qualidade de vida são úteis e complementares, evidenciando a
importância da atuação interdisciplinar entre as áreas de Voz e Disfagia no rastreio
e prevenção de distúrbios de voz e deglutição.
