Esforços resistentes de elementos em aço: um estudo de equações estimadas a partir de perfis comerciais
Abstract
O presente estudo buscou reunir os principais perfis metálicos utilizados estruturalmente, e, para eles, encontrar equações estimadas a partir da relação entre suas propriedades geométricas e a capacidade resistente aos esforços de tração, compressão e flexão. Inicialmente, foi apresentada uma breve introdução ao aço, detalhando a sua composição básica, as principais propriedades mecânicas que levam a desempenhar o importante papel na construção civil (o seu diagrama tensão-deformação, e propriedades como elasticidade, plasticidade e ductilidade). Ainda, exemplificados as principais aplicações do aço como estrutura, e as formas que são encontrados para venda no Brasil. Adotando uma abordagem quantitativa, e a partir de catálogos comerciais disponibilizados pelas fabricantes de aço no Brasil, foi repassado o passo a passo para o cálculo de esforços nas estruturas metálicas quando submetidas à tração, compressão e flexão. A partir dos resultados encontrados, buscou-se descobrir a propriedade geométrica que melhor acompanhava o comportamento das resistências obtidas, tomando-se a área da seção como a melhor relação. E então, a partir de gráficos ajustados da área com as respectivas resistências, chegou-se a um conjunto de equações que estimam a resistência de um perfil cantoneira ao Escoamento da Seção Bruta, a resistência de um perfil da série CS à Compressão, e a capacidade resistente de um perfil da série VS à flexão.
