Efeito da adição de peso no tronco sobre a cinemática da marcha de um sujeito com ataxia
Abstract
A ataxia é caracterizada por uma incoordenação ao caminhar e é uma sintomatologia da
Doença de Machado-Joseph (DMJ). Há uma escassez de relatos de casos de ataxia
descrevendo possíveis formas de melhorar a marcha desta população, assim se justifica a
necessidade deste trabalho O objetivo deste trabalho foi descrever o efeito da adição de peso
no tronco sobre a cinemática da marcha de um sujeito com ataxia. Foram realizadas três
avaliações da marcha em três situações, sem o uso de qualquer colete, e com o uso dos
coletes, modelo A e modelo B. O modelo A de tecido gabardinado e o modelo B de material
impermeavel e revestido com velcro, feito sobre medida. Para a obtenção dos dados referentes
às variáveis estudadas foi utilizado o sistema de cinemetria VICON. Os principais resultados
encontrados apontam que para a situação com o colete A houve um menor tempo de apoio
simples e um maior tempo de apoio duplo em comparação a situação sem colete. Já em
relação à velocidade da marcha podemos notar que a velocidade foi maior na situação com o
colete B. Por outro lado na situação sem colete o sujeito teve um comprimento de passo maior
e uma largura do passo menor, não havendo grandes alterações em relação ao comprimento da
passada direita e esquerda, ou seja, a passada era simétrica. Conclui-se que a adição de peso
no tronco da forma utilizada neste estudo não se mostrou benéfica para a cinamática da
marcha.
