Abstract
A síndrome hepatocutânea é uma enfermidade incomum em cães, cujas
alterações sistêmicas refletem em dermatopatias nos animais acometidos. As lesões
cutâneas observadas podem ser muito variáveis, entretanto, a hiperqueratose dos
coxins é um sinal bastante consistente. O diagnóstico se baseia na apresentação
clínica, exames complementares e histopatologia de pele, sendo esse último o
exame definitivo para confirmação da doença. Este trabalho tem por objetivo relatar
o caso de um canino diagnosticado com síndrome hepatocutânea, bem como
discorrer sobre as opções de tratamento. O prognóstico é ruim, contudo, prima-se
pela terapia precoce a fim de gerar qualidade de vida aos pacientes.
