Caracteristicas de internações em saúde mental de hospitais gerais do Rio Grande do Sul

Abstract

The aim is to characterize the hospitalizations performed in mental health beds of reference general hospitals, of the 4th Regional Health Coordination ofthe State ofRio Grande do Sul, for the year 2016. It's about a transverse retrospective study, retrospective, in which 1,391 hospitalizations were analyzed, of six reference hospitals in mental health, contemplating the hospitalizations of people with mental and behavioral di sorders , as well as those resulting from the use of alcohol and other drugs. The data were collected in the months of May and June of 2017, organized into an Excel worksheet and analyzed by means of statistics in the software Statistical Package for the Social Sciencies. It was found that hospitalizations, mostly, were of young adults, withpredominance in the age group from 18 to 39 years of age. The diagnosis related to the mental and behavioral disorders derived from the use of alcohol and other drugs presented higher prevalence. The County that presented the highest prevalence of hospitalization in mental health was Cacequi, the device that most referred for hospitalization were the Alcohol and Drugs Psychosocial Care Centers, voluntary hospitalizations were the most frequent and the duration time most1y occurred in a period of 16 to 30 days. This characterization allowed the knowledge of important indicators for the mental health care network and may contribute to the planning of managers, both from municipalities in the coverage area, in addition to producing scientific knowledge on the subject in a regional scope and have the premise of serving as a reference for new studies.

EI objetivo fue caracterizar las internaciones realizadas en lechos en salud mental de los hospitales generales de referencia de la 4a Coordinadora Regional de Salud deI Estado de Rio Grande do Sul durante el ano 2016. Se trata de un estudio transversal retrospectivo en el cual fue se analizaron 1.391 internaciones, de seis hospitales de referencia en salud mental, contemplando las internaciones de 26 personas con trastornos mentales y comportamentales, así como los derivados deI uso de alcohol y otras drogas. Los datos fueron recolectados en los meses de mayo y junio de 2017, organizaron en una hoja de cálculo de Excel y se analizaron mediante estadísticas en el software Statistical Package for the Social Sciencies. Se constato que las intemaciones, en su mayoría, fueron de jóvenes adultos, deI sexo masculino, con predominancia en el grupo de edad de 18 a 39 afies de edad. EI diagnóstico referente a los trastomos mentales y comportamentales derivados deI uso de alcohol y otras drogas presentó mayor prevalencia. EI municipio que presentó mayor prevalencia de intemación en salud mental fue Cacequi, el dispositivo que más encaminó para intemación fueron los Centros de Atención Psicosocial Alcohol y Drogas, las intemaciones voluntarias fueron las que más ocurrieron y el tiempo de duración en mayor parte ocurrieron en un ano período de 16 a 30 días. Esta caracterización posibilitó el conocimiento de indicadores importantes para la red de atención en salud mental y podrá contribuir en la planificación de los gestores de los municipios deI área de cobertura y de los hospitales generales. Además de producir conocimiento científico sobre la temática en alcance regional y tener la premisa de servir como referencia para nuevos estudios.
