Abstract
O presente trabalho aborda o tema dos arquivos pessoais de pessoas comuns, a partir da organização do acervo de Hedy Fülber Schilling, uma comerciante estabelecida no bairro leopoldense Morro do Espelho desde a década de 1920. Com base nos documentos ali encontrados, procura-se recriar parte da história de uma área de São Leopoldo, reconhecendo as transformações ali ocorridas, do final do século XIX até os dias atuais. Igualmente busca vislumbrar outras aplicações que possam ser desenvolvidas com a utilização de documentos de pequenos acervos pessoais, principalmente fotografias.
