dc.description.abstract | The hospital emergency service should be engaged to comply with all the serious health problem of the person, which can make them have life- threating, however, the population look for the hospital emergency service trying to find the primary care, causing overpopulation and consequent deficiency in the real emergency cases. Having these observations going on, a reflexive bibliographic study on this subject was done, trying to discover all the reasons and consequences of the overpopulation of hospital emergency service. The research had as conclusion that the treatment in a general way is not being possible to supply the basic necessity health of people, and the overpopulation of the hospital emergency service is a global phenomenon, revealing the operational limit saturation, physical and assistential, having as a consequence the developing loss of the involved activities. This form, it is necessary to deepen the knowledge about this subject to collaborate in the final decision of the involved people and change the current frame, giving auxiliary in the search of solution based in evidences. | eng |

dc.description.resumo | O serviço de emergência hospitalar deve estar comprometido em atender condições de agravo á saúde do indivíduo, que impliquem em risco iminente de vida, porém, a população procura o serviço de emergência hospitalar em busca de atendimento primário, causando superlotação e consequente deficiência do serviço nos casos que realmente exigem atendimento emergencial. Frente a essas observações, realizou-se um estudo bibliográfico sobre o tema, buscando conhecer os motivos e consequências da superlotação do serviço de emergência hospitalar. A pesquisa permitiu concluir que a atenção primária de um modo geral não está conseguindo suprir as necessidades básicas de saúde da população, e a superlotação do serviço de emergência hospitalar é um fenômeno mundial, revelando a saturação do limite operacional, físico e assistencial, com consequente perda de desempenho das atividades envolvidas. Sendo assim, é necessário aprofundar o conhecimento sobre o assunto para colaborar na tomada de decisão dos envolvidos e mudar o quadro atual, auxiliando na busca de soluções baseados em evidências. | por |
