Política de assistência social: a perspectiva da gestão descentralizada e participativa no âmbito municipal

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the process of implementation of public social assistance policy at the municipal level, focusing on the decentralized and participatory management model. The purpose of this study is to outline the importance of the municipal entity in the construction of this policy, based on the implementation of the Single Social Assistance System (SUAS) in decentralized and participatory management, taking the municipality of Santiago, RS as a reference. Thus, the present article analyzes the reality of the operationalization of the Public Policy of Social Assistance from the perspective of taking interviews with professionals inserted in the municipal management of social assistance of the municipality of Santiago, being a brief route of analysis of the inferences deduced from the context analyzed as difficulties perceived by the professionals interviewed and advances already achieved.
