Estudo da migração do formato analógico para o formato digital das fitas videomagnéticas do Avenida Tênis Clube

Abstract

This paper presents the study of migration from analog to digital on the videomagnetic tapes of the Avenida Tenis Club (ATC) for the study and analysis of the situation related to the migration of the support of the ATC videomagnetic tapes, which is located in the city of Santa Maria, RS, Brazil. With the use of technical procedures, research case study took place, because it involved the study of videotapes, software and equipment for migration. With the diagnosis of the file and the ATC tapes videomagnéticas was possible to see the conservation status of the documentation and study the optimal procedure for cleaning and care of the tapes and the migration process to be used. The assumptions related to the file and its documentation were confirmed,means that, the recording of audiovisual really allows your information to be preserved for future generations, where the audiovisual collection is located may not be ideal for the storage of documentation, procedures the care and handling and contribute to the conservation of the documentation, techniques of cleaning is really important to conservation and preservation of documents and, finally, support the migration from analog to digital preserves the original document and allows greater flexibility in accessing the information. As a final result we can present some tools for use in the file as: migration procedures manual, tips for care procedures with the acquis; glossary of terms and a sheet of hygiene control and migration.
