Educação ambiental no contexto de acoes educativas para o ensino fundamental a partir de meio digital

Abstract

This study presents Environmental Education in the context of educative actions for the Elementary School teaching, commencing from the planning for the elaboration of a database with environmental and computer science themes in digital form. The aim of this study was to create references to help in the future development of a digital form, which will present alternatives for Elementary School teachers in the teaching-learning process of Environmental Education. In order to structure this presentation effectively, this study has been divided into five chapters. This project seeks to attenuate the following matters: difficulties encountered by teachers in researching, preparing and working with transversal themes (according to the cited references); the application of Environmental Education computer tools in public Elementary School schools; the new reality faced by the students and the technological tools which influence them to no longer accept traditional directive teaching methodologies, which are seen as ‘old’ and lacking in creativity and technology; students present disciplinary problems at school (according to the cited references and informal contacts with local Elementary School teachers, through direct interviews), besides the delay in the implantation of technologies (information technology and audiovisual) in schools; difficulties found by teachers in getting adapted to using these technologies, due to the lack of information courses (given by the government) and anticipation in the Political Pedagogical Projects of the schools and infrastructure for its execution (human, technical, physical and financial resources). The study has been based on the references, with approaches regarding: learning, knowing and conceptions and approaches to learning; the Environmental Education (concepts and direction) and its participation in the pedagogical practice; the Environmental Education, the virtual environment, pedagogical practice through the use of the computer, interdisciplinary use, the pedagogy of the projects; creating capacitated teachers for using the technologies (information technology) in class, implementation and digital learning; technology and education in Brazil, information and communication technology (information and communication), the educator and artificial intelligent, the use of computers in education and in public schools. In ‘materials and methods’, the research about environmental themes commencing from the analysis of the chapter ‘materials and methods’ of the monographs of Post-graduation courses in Environmental Education, being complemented by themes that were researched in references about Environmental Education. The themes developed in formal and informal education and the use of questionnaires in the studies are verified. In ‘results and discussions’ the data obtained reveal the most approached themes, the preference of formal teaching, and the use of questionnaires. Themes about information technology and respective help tools that will be in the digital form are listed. The analysis of specialized authors about the contribution of the information technology in Elementary School schools with Environmental Education of educative actions, considered interactive, creative and favourable to the interdisciplinary pedagogical uses has been presented, as well as an annex with the environmental themes that have been researched. Finally, ‘considerations and recommendations’ are presented.
