Acesso do idoso na atenção primária à saúde: uma revisão integrativa
Abstract
Há alguns anos está acontecendo uma mudança no perfil demográfico e epidemiológico de abrangência mundial, em que a população idosa está aumentando significativamente, acompanhada de morbidades crônicas não transmissíveis, porém, previníveis e tratáveis, bem como demais determinantes próprios dessa faixa etária e que demandarão ações primordiais da Atenção Primária à Saúde a fim de proporcionar qualidade de vida aos idosos. Somando a isto, o reconhecimento da importância do acesso universal como um dos princípios doutrinários da APS e que garante uma atenção à saúde eficaz. Nesse contexto faz-se necessário conhecer o andamento da avaliação do acesso aos serviços de saúde para essa parcela da população a fim de se obter evidências que subsidiem o conhecimento e as decisões dos gestores evolvidos nesse processo. Assim, o presente estudo tem como objetivo identificar as evidências científicas acerca do acesso dos idosos na Atenção Primária à Saúde. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura, realizando-se a busca nas bases de dados LILACS, PUBMED e SCOPUS, sendo que, após os critérios de inclusão e exclusão, nove estudos compuseram o corpus da mesma. Foi possível perceber as evidências científicas de que o acesso relaciona-se com a acessibilidade e a utilização dos serviços de atenção primária, sendo este aquém das reais necessidades em saúde que a população idosa demanda. Há necessidade de novos estudos que pesquisem o acesso dos idosos como objeto de pesquisa, bem como um número maior de estudos sobre a temática, a fim de embasar os gestores na tomada de decisão em busca de uma atenção em saúde efetiva aos idosos.
