| dc.description.abstract | This study aims to present a theoretical presentation and a practical understanding of the reader/writer profile from the Harry Potter saga fans perspective, that publish and read fanfics in portuguese on the Fanfiction.Net website. We recover studies on reading and on the reader, as he has been changing over time and how the internet and technology have given support to the reader which is manifested by creating a new story. The fanfics entail, so in a way for the reader to communicate with the author and other readers, to change what was written according to their wishes and desires. We also study from the fan's perspective, resuming studies on fans and fandoms and their productions. We explored the world of fan fiction, its history and characteristics. Through the application form and interviews we approach the readers/writers participating in the Fanfiction.Net site and find out who they are, their practices, their relationship with books from which they derive the stories they write/read, their reading habits fanfics and books and their motivations. | eng |

| dc.description.resumo | O presente trabalho se propõe a desenvolver uma discussão teórica e uma observação empírica sobre o perfil do leitor/escritor a partir dos fãs da saga Harry Potter que publicam e leem fanfics em português no site Fanfiction.Net. Recuperamos estudos sobre leitura e sobre o leitor, como ele foi se modificando através do tempo e como a internet e a tecnologia deram suporte para o leitor que se manifesta criando uma nova história. As fanfics implicam, assim, em uma maneira de o leitor se comunicar com o autor e outros leitores, de alterar o que foi escrito conforme as suas vontades e desejos. O nosso estudo se dá também a partir da perspectiva do fã, retomando estudos sobre fãs e fandoms e as suas produções e explorando o universo das fanfics, sua história e características. Através da aplicação de formulário e entrevistas, nos aproximamos dos leitores/escritores que participam do site Fanfiction.Net e descobrimos quem eles são, quais são as suas práticas, sua relação com os livros dos quais derivam as histórias que eles escrevem e leem, seus hábitos de leitura de fanfics e livros, além de suas motivações. | por |
