Misturas integralmente recicladas: comportamento à fadiga e degree of binder activity
Abstract
A malha viária brasileira, de maneira geral, vem apresentando carências funcionais e estruturais com o crescimento constante do tráfego de veículos comerciais e de carga nas rodovias ao longo dos anos. Assim, a necessidade de restaurações rotineiras é imprescindível para manutenção do conforto e segurança das vias. O resíduo da fresagem, parte do processo de conservação, é denominado Reclaimed Aspahlt Pavement (RAP). Buscando soluções sustentáveis e viáveis economicamente à engenharia, a incorporação deste material em novas misturas vem se tornando realidade cada vez mais presente em países europeus e nos Estados Unidos da América. Visando teores cada vez mais elevados de incorporação de RAP em misturas recicladas, a engenharia vem investindo esforços em técnicas e novas tecnologias neste sentido, e isto passa por uma análise cada vez mais rigorosa dos materiais fresados utilizados. Buscando aprofundar os conhecimentos relacionados as propriedades intrínsecas do RAP, foram propostas misturas recicladas, compostas 100% por fresado. Dando continuidade as pesquisas já realizadas no grupo de pesquisas GEPPASV, este trabalho utilizou de ensaios mecânicos para avaliar as propriedades destas misturas quando comparadas às de referência. Por meio de resultados de rigidez, foram correlacionadas as constantes do modelo 2S2P1D e os dados de grau de ativação (DoA). Além disto, diferentes critérios de avaliação de fadiga pelo ensaio uniaxial cíclico de fadiga a tração-compressão foram testados para comparar as misturas referência das puramente fresadas. O critério ε6 se mostrou mais promissor pela sua simplicidade, visto que os critérios que utilizavam a aplicação da teoria S-VECD não foram promissores devido as elevadas rigidezes nas condições do ensaio e não normatização dos volumes de vazios nas amostras 100% RAP. Por fim, foi possível evidenciar que o DoA correlacionou muito bem aos resultados de fadiga, indicando que este é um parâmetro influente na avaliação do desempenho de misturas recicladas e que deve ser considerado quando avaliadas misturas com alto teores de reciclagem.
