Abstract
O objetivo deste trabalho é analisar como o debate e a implementação de ações afirmativas, mais especificamente das cotas raciais, afetou a vida de bailarinas nos âmbitos profissional e pessoal. O tema central deste trabalho é a CIA de Dança Afro Euwá-Dandaras, grupo atuante da cidade universitária de Santa Maria, no interior do Rio Grande do Sul. Para realizar tal análise, será necessário contextualizar historicamente o estado do Rio Grande do Sul, o Museu Comunitário Treze de Maio, os debates sobre cotas raciais na cidade e a construção da companhia de dança.
