Reflexões sobre a educação ambiental enquanto espaço de mediação entre a agroecologia e o agricultor

Abstract

This paper aims to introduce a reflexion about Environmental Education as a mediator between Agroecology and the farmer. Environmental Education is understood to be helpfull in the transition to a new production system, combining the farmer’s traditional knowlegde with the natural environment. Startin with a documental research, it was possible to acknowledge that the practice of agroecology is a permanent learning process that goes beyond the technical knowledge. The mixture of different knowlege and ideas is fundamental to the process of changing the production system. To reach sustainable agriculture, Environmental Education must be included in the process. It has been acquaintanced that Agroecology has the potential to rescue the relation between the farmer and the agroecossystem management.
