O acolhimento de crianças e adolescentes em instituições de alta complexidade: vivências do estágio curricular em serviço social

Abstract

This work aims to analyze the process of childcare in an institution of high complexity, aiming to observe the work process of the social worker in this reality, using as a database the experiences of the field of curricular internship required. In the Brazilian scenario, the significant expansion of expressions of the social question and its refractions contribute to the initiation of the process of institutionalization of children and adolescents, since host institutions have historically been linked to the secular inequality between social classes. The Institutional Reception aims to guarantee integral protection, guarantee and promote rights, as it is not only the family responsible for the protection of children and adolescents, but also the State and the whole society. The evolution of public policies and Brazilian legislation regarding the system of institutional reception of children and adolescents represented a great advance, starting to think of the family as a whole, thus guaranteeing integral protection of the individual and his family, through services that ensure the fostering and strengthening of family ties. It is noticed the need to provide the institutional reception service with professional agents, active changes in the social protection system. In order to overcome the weaknesses found in the institution during the internship experiences, the intervention project sought to promote the reception and strengthening of family ties, facilitating family reintegration, so that the institution achieves a quality and efficient service that meets the particularities of families, which have institutionalized children and / or adolescents.
