O patrimônio cultural na cozinha: o papel da mulher no território da Quarta Colônia, RS, Brasil

Abstract

This study deals with the role played by women of Italian immigrant descent in the urban district of Santos Anjos, municipality of Faxinal do Soturno, Fourth Colony territory, Rio Grande do Sul. The general objective of this research is to analyze the role played by women of Italian immigrant descent, based on the cultural heritage derived from the kitchen. To this end, the specific objectives are: a) to present the theoretical contribution about the dimensions of cultural heritage and the relationship of women from the practices in the domestic environment, b) to investigate how the process of family organization and the current socio-cultural dimensions in the territory of Quarta Colônia take place and c) to understand the cultural identity elements manifested in the kitchen environment. Methodologically it is constituted as a qualitativedescriptive study, with primary and secondary data collection, and descriptive analysis. The final analytical product will be composed by a PHOTO BOOK and its applicability in a public municipal school. It will be constituted with photos and records of women and their role in the kitchen. It will organize a collection of knowledge of the "nuns" passed through the generations, as well as the current records of how the kitchen environment and the Italian descendents' house is presented, thus constituting a way to personalize the memories, joining past and present moments in a creative way. Therefore, this research excels in safeguarding the local identity culture and its particularities present in the territory where the immigrant descendant woman is still the protagonist.
