dc.description.abstract | The subjectivity of the tinnitus is the factor that more brings difficulties and scarcity of
data in its study, generating the necessity to discover more about all the involved
aspects. This work had for objective to trace the audiological profile of patients with
tinnitus complaint, taken care of in the sector of audiologia and hearing aid of the
Serviço de Atendimento Fonoaudiológico (SAF) in the period of April of 2003 to June
of 2006 The only criterion of inclusion for the research was the presence of complaint
of tinnitus, unilateral or bilateral. The sample was constituted of 68 individuals, 32 of
feminine sex and 36 of the masculine sex, with ages between 12 and 88 years in the
date of the evaluation. The audiologicals examinations and the anamneses of the
individuals had been consulted, how much the sex, type, degree and configuration of
the hearing loss. With the gotten data, it was carried through an analysis through
simple tables and cruzades. The data of this work had been compatible with other
carried through studies already. The analysis of the data disclosed that the hearing
loss of the neurossensorial type predominates in the patients with tinnitus complaint
(72.79%). How much to the degree, the moderate degree is found (65.67%); e the
configuration of descending hearing loss is the prevalent (53.73%). In this study, it
did not have difference enters the prevalence of type, degree and configuration of the
auditory loss between ears with complaint and without complaint of tinnitus. | eng |

em seu estudo, gerando a necessidade de descobrir mais sobre todos os aspectos
envolvidos. Este trabalho teve por objetivo traçar o perfil audiológico de pacientes
com queixa de zumbido, atendidos no setor de audiologia e prótese auditiva do
Serviço de Atendimento Fonoaudiológico (SAF) no período de abril de 2003 a junho
de 2006. O único critério de inclusão para a pesquisa foi a presença de queixa de
zumbido, unilateral ou bilateral. A amostra foi constituída de 68 indivíduos, 32 do
gênero feminino e 36 do gênero masculino, com idades entre 12 e 88 anos na data
da avaliação. Foram consultados os exames audiológicos e as anamneses dos
indivíduos, quanto a gênero, tipo, grau e configuração da perda auditiva. Com os
dados obtidos, foi realizada uma análise através de tabelas simples e cruzadas. Os
dados desse trabalho foram compatíveis com outros estudos já realizados. A análise
dos dados revelou que a perda auditiva do tipo neurossensorial predomina nos
pacientes com queixa de zumbido (72,79%). Quanto ao grau, o grau moderado é o
mais encontrado (65,67%); e a configuração de perda auditiva descendente é a
prevalente (53,73%). Neste estudo, não houve diferença entre a prevalência de tipo,
grau e configuração da perda auditiva entre orelhas com queixa e sem queixa de
zumbido. | por |
