Dermatose induzida por tumor das células de Sertoly

Abstract

The Dermatosis caused by sex hormone is an endocrine disease associated with an over hormone production or their precursors, or both, by tumorous testicles or suprarenal glands. The Sertoly cell tumor is the most common one and is related to intra abdominal and inguinal cryptorchidism. The testicular tumors happen to middle or old age dogs with racial predisposition such as Boxer, Shelland Pastor, Warmaranner, Pequines and Collie. The hormones related to Dermatosis are estrogens, androgens and progesterone. When theses hormone levels increase there are dermatological changes as well as bilateral symmetrical alopecia on the perineal, genital, neck and torso area, also happening gynecomastia, pendular prepuce and prostatitis. For the remission of the dermatologic situation the dog has to go under complete medical exams such as blood test, biochemical, urinalysis and after, a surgical procedure to remove the tumorous testicle. This work was done through a research and a portray of a canine case, Boxer breed, male, 8 years with bilateral symmetrical alopecia on the torso, flank, neck, gynecomastia, pendular prepuce and just one testicle in the scrotum. In order to have a diagnostic was done a complete blood test, biochemical and urinalysis; the animal went under a surgery to take off the testicle from the abdominal and scrotal cavity. After, it was sent to a histopatological analysis that verified a Sertoly cell tumor.
