A avaliação de documentos no Departamento de Contabilidade e Finanças da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, RS
Abstract
A avaliação de documentos é uma das funções arquivísticas e consiste num processo de análise de documentos com vista em estabelecer sua destinação. Os arquivos das Instituições Federais de Ensino Superior (IFES) têm sob sua guarda documentos essenciais para a administração da instituição, resultantes das atividades de ensino, pesquisa e extensão. Esses documentos são testemunhos da memória da instituição, podendo ser fonte de pesquisa para alunos, professores, historiadores, pesquisadores, entre outros. Nesse contexto, a pesquisa trás o tema da avaliação de documentos no Departamento de Contabilidade e Finanças (DCF), da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM), verificando, através de coleta de dados, o contexto do Arquivo Intermediário do DCF, a metodologia de elaboração de instrumento de avaliação de documentos e a aplicação dos referido instrumento no DCF. Os dados coletados foram reunidos a fim de avaliar se existe uma conformidade com a legislação arquivística vigente. A partir da análise dos dados coletados, a pesquisa mostrou que o DCF aplica as políticas de avaliação documental, evidenciando–se práticas distintas quanto a realização do processo de avaliação.
