Projeto e implementação de uma guia de onda coplanar (CPW) para técnica de FMR via VNA
Abstract
Nesse trabalho foi realizado um estudo da ressonância ferromagnética (FMR) em filmes finos de Ni81Fe19 (Permalloy) com espessura de 100 nm. As medidas de FMR foram obtidas utilizando a técnica de FMR via Analisador Vetorial de Rede (VNA), na qual o VNA é utilizado em conjunto com uma guia de onda coplanar. A técnica VNA-FMR permite medidas em uma ampla banda de frequência e detecta a condição de FMR através de medições de parâmetros S de microondas. A guia de onda do tipo coplanar foi projetada com suas dimensões para casamento de impedância de aproximadamente 50 Ω, simulada, para avaliação inicial e, posteriormente, produzida utilizando a ProtoMat S103. Essa guia de onda foi proposta afim de tornar o processo de medida pela técnica de FMR mais prático e fácil em comparação à medidas feitas utilizando uma guia de onda do tipo stripline. As componentes real e imaginária do parâmetro S21 da guia, carregada com a amostra, foram medidas em frequências entre 1 - 8.0 GHz, com o campo magnético externo aplicado paralelo ao plano da amostra, ao longo da direção de propagação das ondas eletromagnéticas. As frequência de ressonância e as larguras de linha a meia altura foram obtidas ajustando as curvas de ReS21 vs. H usando uma equação composta por um termo simétrico (curva Lorentziana) e um termo anti-simétrico (curva dispersiva). A dependência da frequência de ressonância com o campo externo aplicado foi ajustada com a relação de Kittel. O coeficiente de amortecimento de Gilbert foi obtido da curva ∆H vs. f. Os resultados obtidos mostram que, além de obter valores satisfatórios para medidas de FMR fica evidente através da apresentação de toda metodologia de idealização da guia de onda envolvida a sua utilidade em experimentos de Ressonância magnética.
